Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Fezanur Başkesen, an individual developer based in Türkiye trading as Tofe Software (“we”). By using Freezer Fox you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
What the app does
Freezer Fox helps you remember what is in your freezer and roughly how long it will stay at its best. You record what you froze, and the app reminds you before the quality starts to fall.
Food quality is not food safety
The dates in Freezer Fox are about quality, not safety. They tell you when food is likely to start losing its texture and taste. They are not use-by dates and they are not a safety warning.
According to the USDA and the FDA, food kept continuously frozen at −18 °C (0 °F) stays safe indefinitely. Food that has passed the date shown in the app has usually not become dangerous — it has simply passed its best.
Freezer Fox does not give food safety, medical or nutritional advice. Only you know how your food was handled, how long it sat out, and whether your freezer ever lost power. Use your own judgement and your own senses, and follow the guidance of your local food safety authority. We are not liable for decisions you make about whether to eat something.
The storage durations in the app are general guidance drawn from public food safety guidance. They assume a freezer that stays at −18 °C and food that was fresh and properly wrapped when it went in.
No account, and what that means
Freezer Fox has no sign-up and no password. Your freezer is tied to the invite code and to the devices that hold it. If you lose access to every device and to the code, we generally cannot restore your freezer for you, because we have no way to prove it was yours.
Sharing a freezer
You can share a freezer with up to four people in total. Anyone who has the invite code can join, and every member can add, change and remove anything in it, including photos and history. You are responsible for who you give the code to. If someone should no longer have access, remove them from the member list — access ends immediately.
Your content
What you put into the app stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, show it to you and to the other members of your freezer, and keep it working. Do not upload anything unlawful, and do not upload other people’s content or photographs without their permission.
Subscriptions
- Freezer Fox offers an optional subscription, billed monthly or yearly.
- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency at the time of purchase, and are set in the App Store. The price you see before confirming is the price that applies.
- Introductory free periods, where offered, are available once per subscription group, per customer. If you have already used one in this app, another will not be offered.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours beforehand.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Manage or cancel your subscription in the Settings app on your device, under your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting Freezer Fox does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us.
- If a subscription ends, your existing items, photos, history and members are not deleted. Only the paid features stop.
Fair use
Please do not try to break, overload or work around the app or its servers, guess other people’s invite codes, or access a freezer you were not invited to. We may restrict access that damages the service or other people’s use of it.
Availability
The app is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, that reminders will always arrive, or that nothing will ever be lost. Notifications are delivered by your device’s operating system and can be delayed or suppressed by settings outside our control. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for spoiled or discarded food, or for loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights your local law gives you.
Ending it
You can stop using Freezer Fox at any time and delete your data from Settings → Delete my freezer. We may end or restrict access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and significant changes will be announced in the app.
